Charles was a tight, addictive mobile survival game by 111% — discontinued, removed from the Play Store, unplayable today.

SOLONE is the revival. The same soul, rebuilt from scratch, improved, and free.


SOLONE is a top-down survival roguelite for mobile.

Enemies close in from every direction using distinct AI strategies — they chase, flank, intercept, predict, and shadow you.

Your only answer is to keep moving and grab the right powerup at the right moment.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER

I'm a solo developer who grew up on games that eventually disappeared.

Stardew Valley hit me differently — not just because it's a great game, but because of why it exists.

ConcernedApe loved Harvest Moon. Harvest Moon got complicated, changed hands, lost its soul. So he spent four years rebuilding that feeling from scratch, alone, better than the original. That act of love — preserving something worth preserving — is the most inspiring thing I've seen a developer do.

I had the same feeling with Charles by 111%. Tight. Addictive. Pure mobile survival. The kind of game you open between stops on the metro.

Then one day it was gone. Removed from the Play Store. No announcement. Just gone. No way to install it. No way to play it. A game I loved, made unplayable by a decision I had no part in.

I built SOLONE because I couldn't accept that.

I also love Brotato — for showing that a small team with a clear loop and relentless polish can produce something that feels better than games with 100× the budget. That's the bar I'm aiming for.

SOLONE is my Charles. My Stardew. Built with the same motivation:
some games deserve to exist, and if nobody else will make them, you have to.

I'm also a modder from Project Zomboid — 140k subscribers (known for Wheelbarrow and FireTrail). The source code on both SOLONE and my mods is entirely in Lua.
